training + mission

I’m a certified women’s health and wellness coach, menstrual cycle awareness educator and advocate. I hold a Bachelor’s in Psychology, whilst my post-graduate studies include women’s health and wellness, hormones, gut health, nutrition for conception, fertility and lactation.

My education, along with my experience, make me a confident and versatile healer. Yet, I must not fail to mention my passionate, intuitive and inquisitive nature, as they are what led me down this beautiful path.

My mission is to rewrite the outdated narrative on women’s health and wellness through education, awareness and advocacy. I desire for women to not live in fear, shame or suffering, due to their bodies natural rhythm. Instead, I aim for all women to live in harmony with their body, to embrace their cyclical nature and to embody their highest self.

My journey

Like many other women, my complicated relationship with my health began with the pill. At the age of 16, my family doctor recommended I take hormonal birth control as a method of contraception. Being young, naive and uninformed, I trusted her opinion and went straight to the pharmacy to fill my script.

Within the first 6 months, my skin flared up, my moods were sporadic, I felt bloated and unwell. Despite these warnings my body was providing me, my doctor insisted I stay on the pill. And, I listened - for 6 more years.

I decided to come off of the pill during my last year of college, finally listening to my body and intuition. Yet, the misinformation I had been told throughout my life, regarding female fertility, caused me tremendous anxiety. So, I began researching contraception options and stumbled upon the non - hormonal IUD. I booked my appointment that afternoon and within a few hours, I had a little T - shaped device made of copper, living in my cervix.

My first period came around and I experienced debilitating cramps. For the next four years, I suffered through each long, debilitating period. I was reluctant to get the device removed because I reasoned that menorrhagia and iron deficiency were a low price to pay to stay off of the pill.

My frustration increased with each cycle until I couldn’t take it anymore. I finally made the empowered decision to become an advocate for my own health. After 10 total years of being on various types of birth control, I had my IUD removed.

The post - birth control road was certainly rocky. I had to navigate extreme hormonal fluctuations, irregular cycles and PMS. I experienced mood swings, tender breasts, hormonal acne, heavy periods and more. That’s when I decided enough was enough. I began educating myself on the finer details of the menstrual cycle and found my passion.

Now, I experience pain free, regular menstrual cycles that I LOVE.

And it’s time for you to experience the same.
